About

The 13^th International Symposium on Computational Science (ISCS 2022) in conjunction with Asia Computational Material Design (A-CMD) Workshop  will be held in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, on August 1 – 5, 2022, and hosted by Institut Teknologi Bandung.

ISCS was born from the cooperation between Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, and Kanazawa University, Japan, on the enhancement of graduate students’ education in the field of computational science and applied mathematics. It aims at providing an occasion to present and exchange results and ideas related to these research fields for young researchers worldwide but also cordially welcomes papers from senior professors and scientists. The symposium seeks submissions from academia and industry presenting novel research on all aspects of computational science and applied mathematics.

This year, The 13^th International Symposium on Computational Science (ISCS 2022) in conjunction with Asia Computational Material Design (A-CMD) Workshop will be held in Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. This conference was initially conducted in 2008 (ISCS 2008) in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia; then ISCS 2009 in Kanazawa, Japan; ISCS 2010 in Sanur, Bali, Indonesia; ISCS 2011 in Kanazawa, Japan; ISCS 2012 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia; ISCS 2013 in Kanazawa, Japan; ISCS 2014 in Bandung, Indonesia; ISCS 2015 in Kanazawa, Japan; ISCS 2016 in Bandung, Indonesia; ISCS 2017 in Kanazawa, Japan; ISCS 2018 in Bandung, Indonesia, and ISCS 2019 in Kanazawa, Japan. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 13^th  symposium is postponed to 2022. The ISCS 2022 is also conducted to commemorate the retirement of Professor Mineo Saito from Kanazawa University, Japan.

Since the pandemic is not over yet, the conference will be conducted in hybrid mode. A limited number of domestic participants (if the government regulation regarding the pandemic allows) can attend the conference onsite, while other participants will attend the conference online.
